Yesterday night at 11, I went to the living room and smelled something strange like burning. I ran to the kitchen but the stove was turned off. Thinking it was probably my neighbor making her midnight snack, I just left it alone and was about to sleep. But the burning smell filled my room too. That's when suddenly my mom yelled, "Elise, come look at this! A building is burning!" I ran out to the living room window and saw flames going up in a building about five streets away.

I always thought that the way firefighters rush into a flaming building to save citizens looked so awesome and heroic. But yesterday, seeing in reality a 4-floor building burning up in flames was really scary.

I was home alone today because my mom went uptown shopping :(

So for lunch, I decided to go out to Uiui Bubble Tea and, for the first time, eat takoyaki! ^^ I've always wanted to try it ever since I saw Kero and Suppi eating it in Cardcaptor Sakura, and I really really wanted to see how it tastes like. When was in the store waiting to order, I saw so many other delicious-sounding food, mostly popular asian food for teenages and of course, bubble tea :D When it was my turn to order, I kept spacing out and saying "eh...?", causing the girl-behind-the-counter to repeat herself. I almost forgot to pay too and she looked at me as if I've never ordered food before, ahaha.

I was so happy thinking that I can finally eat takoyaki that I skipped all the way home :D (well, when no one was around to stare ><)

All this was for $4.95... which is 6 takoyaki + one free black/green tea

But I was still hungry after eating this so I made myself a cup noodle, ehehe >< ♥

The takoyaki tasted different from what I expected, but it's still marvelously delicious!!!!!!
